On Saturday 6th May we had the pleasure of hosting the new Mr and Mrs Cagilaba’s wedding. The blank canvas venue was perfect for the combining of the two cultures.
The wedding was enjoyed by all of the guests and the accommodation was very appreciated.
The weather was perfect and on the morning everyone was enjoying a glass of bubbly to get the party started! The ceremony was held in a church not far from the hall and when the guests started to arrive back they were treated with canapés and drinks.
The hall was beautiful decorated, hung at the back of the hall was a traditional cloth called Masi, favours for the men were war hammers that were traditionally used during wars but are now use for ornaments and decorations and the women received cards shaped as frangipani flowers.
The tables were dressed with wooden stands with orchids and a jar of flowers on. The chairs were dressed with a cornflower blue and lace sashes which tied the whole theme together.
The entrance sign was written in the same cornflower blue with hibiscus flowers which matched black slate hearts hung around the room. (Bespoke Signs)
There was plenty of entertainment for the children including a candy cart, bounce castles and soft play area, as well as a Photo Booth enjoyed by all too.
The cake was amazing and the cake topper was two turtles as the animal of Fiji is a turtle. Once the cake was cut it was time for the first dance which was beautiful!
The evening was topped off by an excellent hog roast that was self catered followed by deserts which was an absolute treat!
Congratulations again to Orisi and Emily!
