Last year's bridal gown trends were very highly inspired by the royal weddings. Much like fashion, bridal gown trends come and go, and over the years we have seen many trends from fishtail, lace, ball gown and princess dresses. And what comes next? It's all about the classic, modern alternatives. Here's our top 5 styles of 2020.
It's all about the back - If you're a bride who really wants to make a statement, choosing a gorgeous backless dress is the way to go! Depending on the season you could go for a sleek, fitted and detailed backless dress. And if your more the winter type, adding a stunning shawl or fur shawl would match lovely. There are many different styles of backless dresses, including a slight dip in the back to a full backless dress down the the bottom of the back, you could add detail to the back including lace, jewels or even pearls. Whatever your style is, a backless dress could work for you.
Plunge neckline - Going from a deep backless plunge to a frontline plunge, which is getting deeper and deeper. You can have it with the invisible mesh to keep it in the correct place or with texture, lace, embellishment. The best mix is the ultra sexy bride whilst keeping it appropriately stunning.
Train: Modern brides want the timeless look, but also the dramatic “wow” statement! Having an incredible train can do this on a dress. Whether the dress is to be in a stately home setting, an outdoor wedding, a barn conversion wedding or wherever it may be can depend on what statement train you choose. You can choose from so many styles, including: Sheer lace, Tulle, Layered, Ruffled, Antique, dramatic, long, short and many many more to suit your style.
Simplistic: The Simplistic look first took the trend in 2018, since then the minimalist trend has taken off. That means no lace, no beading, no jewelry, no frills, no volume. It's more about the cut, the lines, the fit rather than what's on the dress. These dresses are timeless and elegant!
Textured Lace: There's nothing quite like a timeless lace wedding dress, no matter what the style. It can be simplistic, dramatic, boho. You can have subtle lace or lace with many layers and all the glitz and glam you could imagine. Some dresses can have lace all over, or just in the train or even just in the arms. It's all in the detail, which when you look at different details, its endless.

“Jessica and all in the amazing team at Thief Hall, what can we say? Thank you so much for an amazing weekend. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more. You guys were amazing from start to finish & we can't thank you enough. For such a popular venue with weddings more weekends and mid-weeks you do everything to make the bride and groom feel so special. There were so many extra thoughtful touches that made the weekend so special. Jess, You are some kind of wizard in keeping the day running so smoothly and thinking of things that we completely over looked.
